The first band of this night was Dominatör, a Dutch hardcore band with some metalcore influences as well. I never heard of them before and while listening to their set that really surprised me, because they played really great music. Powerful music was blasted into the venue, which wasn’t filled up that moment. The first time Buzzin Hornet saw Dominatör was when they were supporting E.Town Concrete. They didn’t impress him that much back then but this time was different. You could clearly see the guys were enjoying the performance and they were playing their asses off. Maybe because this night their split CD was released but it was sure great to look at. The guitarist that was in front of us was playing a great show, the only minor was when the singer pulled a cable and his guitar stopped. He rushed to plug it back into the paddle ad pushed the singer for his stupid action. After only 30 minutes they left the stage which was a shame. Afterwards I wished this band was playing longer.

Why? Well, because the second band of the night was Cult Of Luna. Really, I have nothing negative to say about this band but they just didn’t fit in the line up of this night. I thought I knew this band by watching them on TV and listening to some MP3s but this band was in my eyes Dream Theather of the Emo scene. Very long musically parts without any vocals. Besides that there was a strange guy in the back smoking a cigarette and hitting a snare every once in a while or ringing some bells, he was the only thing we were focussed on. The band consists out of seven members and the music they play is really great, but slow and if you are playing between two hardcore oriented bands you can’t play music like this. When I looked back and watched the audience every single one was yawning or just hanging. There was one strange girl a couple of feet away from me who was doing something that reminded me of head banging but I thought there was some kind of bug in her hair she wanted to shake out. Well, this set was too damn long for me. We were paying attention to the strange next to us and that isn’t a good sign. Luckily enough the next band was Bleeding Through and that one was going to pump up the audience.

And finally the last band of the evening entered the stage; Bleeding Through. With their powerful album ‘This is Love, This is Murderous’ they already knew to convince me to go see them live. Fortunately that decision turned out to be the right one! After the slow and most of all sleepy set of Cult Of Luna, the show had finally begun.

Powerful and devastating music in the first song ‘Love Lost In A Hail Of Gun Fire’ were a fact. And it wouldn’t stop until the last (eleventh) song of Bleeding Through. Especially when vocalist Brandan crushed my shoulder while screaming right into my face I knew this show was going to be awesome!

It was a good thing to see that the crowd was pretty familiar with this band because Bleeding Through isn’t that big (yet) here in Europe. Other songs of their new album that blasted out of the speakers were title track ‘This is Love, This is Murderous’, ‘Sweet Vampirous’ and ‘On Wings Of Lead’. They played some older songs as well and to make the (in my opinion way too short) set complete, they gave the crowd two new songs which we probably can expect on the new album later this year.

All in all this band didn’t bore me a moment and if you have the chance to see them live some day I surely would recommend you to go and visit the show.
