As you can guess this band really honours their name. There is nothing original in their music and it really does not sound good. The drummer is quite ok and so is the bassist but with the none stop slapping he creates a boring sound in the music. And I will not start about the guitar player and singer because they are worthless, please stop with this band because you just suck. I can say a whole lot more but I think this will do.

Half past 9, a filled Patronaat and the excitement of the people in the venue is clearly present. Since it was about 2 years ago that this band was in Holland, lots of people were looking forward to this night for a long time, including myself. Damn! Was I happy when I heard the good news that Ill Nino was about to tour Europe. And finally there were my heroes (I picked ‘One Nation Underground’ as my personal favorite album from last year so that might give you an impression of how much I love this band). I knew that this was going to be a great set since Patronaat has a great sound system and Ahrue told me during the interview I had with him in the afternoon, that the band would play an equally divided setlist. Equally divided in three parts that is: ‘One Nation Underground’, ‘Confession’ and ‘Revolution/Revolución’.

Songs that came by were: Corazon of Mine, This is War, Unreal, What Comes Around, God Save Us, Te Amo…I Hate You, Turns to Gray, Liar and a couple of other songs as well.

Fortunately the crowd respond was pretty good and the guys on stage were obviously enjoying this first show of their European tour. And what else do you want when you can smoke weed legally on stage right?! Something they didn’t mind doing, that’s for sure!

All in all Ill Nino gave away an awesome show with an incredible good sound. To those of you who still have their doubts about going to one of the European shows of Ill Nino I can only say on thing: GO! If the sound will be as good as it was this night you’ll have a wonderful night of latin/tribal metal!
