End of 2002

A group of friends, formerly involved in the Dutch Roadrunner Street Team, decide to create a metal e-zine. After a couple of online conversations they choose to name the site Metalrage.com. A first design was made and an initial version of Metalrage.com gets put online.
2003

Crewmembers of Metalrage.com start reviewing their newly bought albums and the concerts they visit. Some labels get interested in the new kid on the block and the first albums get send in for reviewing. Metalrage.com does some nice interviews with bands like 36 Crazyfists and Children of Bodom.

2004

More and more material gets send in. In May Metalrage.com gets a total make-over. Some big bands like Cradle of Filth, Killswitch Engage and Papa Roach get interviewed. Metalrage.com is really getting a name now. The number of visitors grows steadily.

2005

The 100.000 monthly visitors milestone in February is a great motivation for Metalrage.com to keep improving. Though it comes rather unexpected it only proves to be a glimpse of what is about to come. In May the millionth visitor gets extensively celebrated. In June Marc Rizzo says some controversial things about his former band Ill Nino in a Metalrage.com interview which gets wide publicity in the metal press. Furthermore loads of festival reports: Groezrock, Paaspop, Fields of Rock, Graspop, Lowlands, Sweden Rock, Sziget, Rock Werchter, Dour, Waldrock, Obscene Extreme and more! Interview highlights include Life of Agony, Chimaira, Ignite, Lamb of God, Machine Head, Mastodon and Mudvayne. New crew members are welcomed, many beers get consumed and lots of CDs get reviewed.

2006

2006 is once again a year of progress for Metalrage.com. Metalrage.com is the first Dutch-based website to visit the legendary Finnish Metal Meeting in Helsinki. Big artists like Deftones, Slayer, Stone Sour, In Flames, Sepultura, Opeth, Fall Out Boy, Gorefest and Textures are added to our interview collection. With a large crew presence on Europe's biggest festivals like Sziget (6 editors), Lowlands (6 editors), Graspop (4 editors) we intend to cover as much as possible for the Metalrage.com visitors. Newly received albums not only come from major labels worldwide but also small bands and labels from countries like Brazil, Venezuela, Singapore, Estonia and Portugal know how to find us.

Metalrage.com is always looking for new ways to offer the best to their visitors. Expect many reviews, interviews and live reviews this year of all your favorite bands and the new stars in metal.
