Metal Review (Album of the Week): 6/6 - 5.5/6 - 6/6 - Read review here
"The Frail Tide just oozes metal perfection at almost every note, riff, solo and synth line ... for you fans and labels reading this, if I can give my ringing endorsement to another unsigned band...this year that deserves your attention right now, it’s Be’lakor. ”

MetalStorm: 8/10 - Read review here
"Lead and rhythm entwine very well, and produce quite masterful sounds. Recommended."

Metal Mayhem UK: 10/10 - Read review here

metal-archives.com: 99% - Read review here (link on top right)
"...I haven't heard a band of Be'lakor's calibre come from down under before... The Frail Tide is a remarkable debut. The musicianship is just brilliant, the lyrics are oozing with grandeur, and the whole album is an incredible experience... surely they're going to become one of Australia's premier metal acts.”

Maelstrom Zine: 8.5/10 - Read review here
"Be'lakor is destined to become a revered member of the death metal community... [they have] produced The Frail Tide out of their own pocket, and have released it themselves, which is quite astounding considering how masterful it is... If they can do this well on their own, it's impossible to imagine how awesome Be'lakor could be with a label...”

Metal Invader (Featured Album): 5/6 - Read review here

Sputnikmusic: 4.5/5 - Read review here
"...Dark, vivid, haunting, but most of all, beautiful... Rarely does a band manage to blend beauty and aggression so wonderfully... Be'lakor show up most other established acts in that sense. They quite literally have it all; individuality, flair, creativity and some damn good musicians. They are going to go places, and you can quote me on that..."

Lords of Metal: 90/100 - Read review here
"This is an extraordinary debut... raucous, epic and glorious."

Global Domination: 9/10 - Read review here

Our music is led by aggressive vocals and underpinned by dark, atmospheric inflections and resonant harmonies.

We draw inspiration from the grandeur in nature, the ideals of paganism, and the drive to recapture true spirituality and heroism in an age of materialism and religious sterility.

To John and Be'Lakor,
Indeed you guys have my support. Such a great Death Metal/Altern Metal band in Melbourne deserves more than just support!! I got to say that I would be very interested in hearing you guys play live somewhere in Melbourne where it is for Under 18's. If I happen to see your CD in a JB Hifi store or any other CD store, you can consider it bought!

I hope all goes well for you all!

Keep it brutal!!
Keep it harsh!!
Keep it METAL!!

Awesome! Glad to hear you guys are confident, and ready to hit the studio! I've been well, I just recently got an electric piano, so i've been busy practicing up! I had been out of playing music for a while, but the promise of a new instrument to master has thankfully rekindled that desire.

I was (still am) at metalreview.com around the time that it made album of the week status. I honestly don't know why I didn't check it out because it had received a lot of praise from both reviewers and readers.

Now, much later on, I come across your myspace and realize that neglecting to hear you guys was a big mistake. This is some seriously great music, definitely one of my favorites in the last five years. I'm hoping to order the CD when it gets reprinted. This is some seriously quality product. Here's to a great career of sharing music with the world.

My girlfriend & I share a ton of the same interests in music & gave me the insight of your band… Must admit though, pretty difficult to get a hold of in the U.S.!
