Danko Jones - Rocking hard once again!

Make Tekst Bigger Make Tekst Normal Make Tekst Smaller

Canadian rockers Danko Jones are touring Europe and this makes rockfans very very happy! Arriving a bit late, but right on time for the rockshow to commence! After seeing Danko Jones earlier in WATT Rotterdam, I was hoping for a better audience and of course a different setlist. The crowd did not dissappoint, the set list however wasn’t a whole lot different from the last show….

Danko Jones played old and new stuff and all the songs had the same raw power! They all rock like a MoFo!! The audience responded fantastically by moshing, crowdsurfing and stagediving the shit out of Tivoli. Especially the ‘classics’ like 'Cadillac' and 'Lovercall' work fantastic in venues like this! Too bad, as stated earlier, the set list did not differ a whole lot from the previous show and the band seemed a bit worn down from touring. Besides this, the jokes and the small talk inbetween songs were also pretty similar to the last time, which for me made it a tad routine-based.

The big thumbs up are for the sound at Tivoli! This made a great contribution to the show overall. All in all a good evening with a good band, good sound and a great crowd!
