Hi There!

I'm Erik Boekhoven a.k.a. BoEk and right now I'm 21 years old. In the beginning of 2004 I won a great AntiProduct prize, a suit of the AP singer, Alex Kane. Well, I'll keep it short, this is actually the reason I joined the Metalrage crew about a month later. I started to work for Metalrage as a newsposter and in a pretty short time I became one of the MR admins. At that point I started to write reviews and interviews too.

Working for MR has been really in my advance till now, because I discovered a shitload of great, new bands! Which automatically started to enlarge my musical interest from nu-metal to other styles as well. The styles I prefer at the moment are metalcore and (melodic) death metal.

Some of my favorite bands are: Slipknot, Killswitch Engage, 36 Crazyfists, Machine Head, Trivium, DevilDriver, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Soilwork and lots of other bands.

My interest for Metal music started when I was about 14 years old. My first concert was immediately a pretty big one: Slipknot was playing in the Heineken Music Hall (in Amsterdam) with American Head Charge. After that it went pretty fast and I've seen quite a few bands now. Hopefully lots of bands will follow in the future!
