I'm 20 years old, living in Utrecht and studying LAS (Liberal Arts & Sciences) at Utrecht University. I'm not always in the mood for telling what it's all about, so I'm happy I can help you here with a fine link to www.las.uu.nl. Basically it's about having the freedom to do whatever you're interested in. It's a good solution for me, because I'm broadly oriented. I want to know everything, so don't be surprised by my curiosity. To make sure I don't know a little bit of everything I'm majoring in Media and Communication. I got asked to assist a teacher in his research for the next half year. One of them is about RPG's.

 

Since I knew what music was I listened to it as much as possible. You can see me wearing headphones and singing along at the age of 3 in my pyjama's. Using pans as my drum kit was another thing I enjoyed. Some thanks goes out to my parents for giving me a good basis. My dad still comes up with new bands every time I see him. He would check out more bands at Lowlands then I do.

 

Growing up as a little girl in �t Gooi it wasn't really obvious for me to start listening to metal. However, it turned out this way and I'm still fortunate it did. I still can remember my fascination when I watched on the roxxx as a teenager at night. I can also remember the afternoon my friend got internet and we downloaded some Vader songs. Easy listening bands like Lostprophets and Mudvayne were the bands that hang in my pink room. My first concert would have to be Stone Sour. The expectable Korn and Slipknot aren't on my list, I saw them live lots of times but it weren't the bands which made my way to metal. Nothingface did. This band got me into metal as no other band did. I'm still a sucker for their music.

 

As for the years afterwards I really got into thrash and melodic death metal(core). Seeing Megadeth live is kind of responsible for that. I started playing guitar at age 16, because I thought it was lame you hardly saw girls in the scene. I performed with a girlfriend on a school night after playing guitar for only 3 months. It sucked, but we had the biggest audience. I liked it so much I decided this was my new hobby. I still play guitar and finally found my band Model 101 (www.myspace.com/model101 also band of Luuk a.k.a. DemonDust) at age 20, without having guitar lessons.

 

After joining the famous Roadrunner Streetteam a year ago, having Tibor as supervisor, I learned to know half of the cosy crew from Metalrage. I found myself lucky enough to join them!

Besides metal, I love electronic music big time. I can appreciate a lot of music styles.

You shouldn't be surprised to find me at all sorts of parties, party hard is what I do best. You could say I'm pretty much a prototype student who gets the weirdest reactions from other people when telling she's into metal, because she doesn't look that way.
