Benediction pull out of Germany's F*ck The Commerce festival, prepare to record new album
Long-running U.k. extreme metallers Benediction have released the following statement to Blabbermouth.net:

"Benediction will not be appearing at this year's Fuck The Commerce festival [taking place May 25-27 at Mza (Mehrzweckhalle) in Luckau, Germany]. The reasons for this are personal between the band and promoters Bruchstein Booking and will remain private unless Bruchstein wish to say anything to the contrary. Benediction apologise to anyone who was expecting to see them at the festival. A full tour will still commence upon the release of 'Killing Music', which will be released late summer/early autumn.

"The songs are almost complete. As usual, the band will be recording some cover versions and will also be having guest vocalists on a few of them. The covers which are being rehearsed at the moment are 'Seeing Through My Eyes' by Broken Bones, 'Into the Void' by Black Sabbath, and 'Banned from the Pubs' by Peter & The Test Tube Babies. There are a few more but they are not at the rehearsing stage yet. The band will announce who is singing on what when they get them into the studio to do the songs.

"There is five years of frustration, anger and hatred to be got rid of and it is manifesting itself in the new songs, so expect a quite brutal affair when it is released.

"Benediction would like to thank their fans for such patience between the last release and this one and can confirm that they will not be let down. Prepare to have your heads blown off!!!"

Benediction's new album, "Killing Music", will be released via Nuclear Blast Records, with whom the band recently re-signed. The Cd will mark the recording debut with the group of former Cradle Of Filth/Dimmu Borgir drummer Nick Barker, who was most recently a member of Brujeria and who played with ex-Fear Factory guitarist Dino Cazares in the short-lived Driven By Suffering (working name).
