| The Rainbow Fanclan Legacy fan site published a news story earlier this week stating that Radio London claimed that the "original" Deep Purple lineup would reunite later this year for three shows at London's O2 Arena. The announcement was reportedly made on Danny Baker's show and it allegedly claimed that the reunion would include guitarist Ritchie Blackmore, who has spent the last few years recording and performing with Blackmore's Night (also featuring his longtime partner Candice Night). Not surprisingly. Blackmore's Night manager Carole Stevens quickly responded to the rumor by saying, "It is not happening and it is not going to happen." |
