The Dutch Lowlands festival has just confirmed a shitload of great bands including the legendary Stooges (with Iggy Pop), who more or less were the precedent of the Punk scene, the popular metalcore band Lost Prophets (who got canceled in 2004 in the last minute), and most remarkebly: Pennywise (who were officially banned after their performance at this festival were the audience invaded the stage)!

With the exception of big names such as Muse, Placebo, Anouk and Massive Attack, it seems that the 2006 edition will be a more toned down version of the festival, with the focus on talent and upcoming bands.

The complete list of new confirmed bands is as following: Iggy & The Stooges, The Raconteurs, The Streets, Johan, Pennywise, Lostprophets, Infadels, Less Than Jake, Panic! At The Disco, My Chemical Romance, Matisyahu, Razorlight, Joan As Police Woman, Hot Chip, Guillemots, Noisettes, Larrikin Love, Lefties Soul Connection, Culcha Candela, Chico Mann & Pannonia Allstar Ska Orchestra.

Other bands to play Lowlands 2005 are HIM, Ministry, Epica, Wolfmother, Urban Dance Squad, Corvus Corax, Placebo, Muse, Opeth, Danko Jones, Arctic Monkeys and about a hundred more. For the full list, click the link below!
