| Believe it or not, but the least to be expected band in the world to ever play the Dutch festival of Pinkpop, namely Metallica are confirmed by the newspaper Metro to headline the friday. Interestingly, festivalorganisator Jan Smeets in the past repeatedly said he would never book bands that can fill stadiums again, after Rammstein disasterously closed down the 2002 edition of the festival. Of course, Metallica are that upcoming band that make Pinkpop's identity. Just like Rage Against The Machine, or Foo Fighters. By the way, Pinkpop tickets will cost ya about 130 euros this year, thanks to this band alone. |
