The first time I saw Danko Jones was on the RockWerchter festival. It wasn't the first time I saw people throw bottles and shit onto a stage. It was the first though, that I witnessed people throwing shit NOT at the band, but at the people that were breaking down the stage after the show! I immediately went to the nearest CD store to get everything the man had put out! Now here's the one...
There are a couple of certainties in life. You will die, taxes cost money and Danko Jones Rocks your fuckin' socks off. On Never Too Loud things haven't changed much, Danko Jones went a little more melodic, and even picks up an accoustic on "Take Me Home". Even this song stays in the style of this band! The rest of the record just keeps on rocking! With, of course, lyrics about chicks and their dads, but also a lot about living on the road. The only part I don't really love about this album is the intro to the title track, which is a bit Bon Jovi for my taste! However, songs such as 'City Streets' and 'Your Tears, My Smile' make it up! There is only one thing left to say: When this album drops at your local store, cancel all appointments and get it. When Danko Jones hits your town: Hide your woman and get a ticket!! This band keeps on rocking, be sure to catch a part of it! Line Up: Danko Jones and two other dudes Track Listing: 01. Code Of The Road 02. City Streets 03. Still In High School 04. Take Me Home 05.
