As you can read: my name is Gerard Gilles, but most people call me just Gilles.
Or in the case of Carn: Gilleteke...

When I started to work with this lovely team of buttfuckers, I already knew some of the other MR-crewmembers from the Dutch Roadrunner Records Streetteam. Back in November 2005, just before celebrating my 18th birthday, our great leader Buzzin Hornet added me to this Streetteam and from there it all went downhill. At the several concerts I visited in that period I not only met Buzzin Hornet in real life, but also scumbags like Carn, Sledgehammer Messiah and Niamen.

My first experience with writing reviews and articles was when I joined the crew of Dutch e-zine MusicfromNL in the fall of 2006. This e-zine is 100% Dutch and has everything to do with the new Dutch releases, festivals etc. within any genre.

Besides doing some promotion for Roadrunner and writing for MusicfromNL, I'm a volunteer at a youth centre in Barneveld, I'm studying to be an Aviation Engineer in Amsterdam and I'm visiting a lot of concerts and festivals.

I like many bands and many genres, but my favourite genres are: hardcore, heavy metal, metalcore, nu-metal, progressive rock, doom and melodic death metal.
