We all know that Metalrage is here to make people happy. When I got the Graveyard album assigned, I was very happy. When I got assigned to Born Into This (Savage Edition) by The Cult, I got a digipack with a sticker and a bonus CD, now that's nice. And because this album is so damn good, Metalrage made me so happy I could cry..(I didn't though, it would ruin my street cred.)

British rock band The Cult was founded back in '84 by singer Ian Astbury and guitarist Billy Duffy and is well known from songs like “Wild Flower” and “She Sells Sanctuary”. Their album Love sold over 2 million copies globally. For this album they teamed up with producer Martin “Youth” Glover (The Verve, Primal Scream and former Killing Joke bass player), who also mixed the album.

The album opens up with the energetic title track and right then and there you know you're listening to something special. “Citizen” and “Diamonds” are a lot like the first title track and lead into the first single of the album “Dirty Little Rock Star”, which shows the diversity of this band!

After they slow it down a little with "Holy Mountain”, the highlight of the album follows; “I Assassin”, god I love this track! I don't think this album loses any of its mojo on any of the songs! They're all great!! The bonus disc offers 2 B-sides, demo versions of “I Assassin” & “Sound Of Destruction” and an extended version of “Savages”. All in all, this album will be money well spent! I cannot get enough of this one! Give it a try. You will not be disappointed!

Hmm..I like the record but I consider Beyond Good & Evil to a lot better than this one. Its good, but it feels a little bit to empty for me.
