Once again not being a highlight in musical history, this album suffers mostly from lack of originality and slick recording. But there’s no need to dismiss this domstad threesome based on that. There’s plenty of fun to go around, especially lyrically,  just like the first recordings there’s a Dutch song on it, neatly tackling the subject of urban fear stating “our own biggest threat is our own fear”. On the other hand there’s an amusing ode to spam, that’s patched together from e-mail subjects that clog up all our e-mail boxes daily. Still, musically – and especially in the riff department – there’s not really something we haven’t heard before, even though it seems the drums have gotten a little more aggressive. As far as the songs go a highpoint is hit on the heavy 'Nazgûl', but still it doesn’t differ all that much from anything else on this effort, or in the woild o’ thrash for that matter.
 

Struggling in the Dark is an okay cd, yet one could hope that five years after releasing a first demo, a little more progression would be made. Sounds like these guys and girl are having fun nevertheless, and that’s definitely worth something.
