Killswitch Engage bassist Mike D'Antonio told Mtv's Metal File that the New England-based band will enter the studio in October to begin work on its next album, with plans to release the disc in early 2009. D'Antonio remarked, "When we start on this next one, we'll just bring our demos to practice, and we'll listen to them, judge them and start rearranging the parts that need to be rearranged - or we just start jamming on what sounds cool." The bassist added that most of the material he's written so far for the project sounds "fast."
The group expects to hit the road next March in support of the CD.
The new disc will follow Killswitch Engage's 2006 album, "As Daylight Dies". The band's cover of Dio's "Holy Diver", issued on the special edition of the CD, became a surprise Top 10 rock radio hit late last year.
