Hatesphere, Six Reasons To Kill, Bloodwork, SIC - To The Nine People Present
When Hatesphere released their album The Sickness Within  in 2005, Metalrage.com wasn't too positive about the album. Fans had a different opinion because the band made a giant leap forward and raised a huge fan base. Two years later the band released another successful album called Serpent Smiles And Killer Eye. Nobody would know the band would fall into pieces after this release. Only guitarist Peter Lyse Hansen was left. He found new members and continued playing. In 2009 the band released their latest effort called To The Nines and to celebrate this fact the band embarked on a European tour. In the Netherlands they played the W2 venue in Den Bosch.

We walked in during the last song of the first supporting act SIC. The first and only impression we had was an energetic band who are truly enjoying their show on stage. With members jumping around the stage, head banging their dreads non stop, they were giving it all. Too bad there were only 20 people in the venue during their set, which kind of scared me.

The second band, Bloodwork, hails from Germany. Tonight the band was playing a good show, the sound was really good compared to the first act. Too bad the band wasn't really serious on stage, during the show the front man was constantly busy with a strange cowboy hat and had some overreacted dance moves and stupid jokes. This was probably because the venue was still almost completely empty with only 40 people present. The drummer however, was an extremely talented musician who nailed everything during the show.

German act Six Reasons To Kill is a grooving metalcore act which lost various members to bigger metalcore acts like Caliban and Deadsoil. Tonight they are the last supporting act of the night and they sure deserved it. From the first note on I experienced their set as an impressive wall of sound which finally gets the present crowd to move a little bit towards the front of the venue. The band is going completely crazy including crazy kicks towards each other. Front man Thorsten ended the show in his wide boxer short, because it was 'hot', still going crazy kicking and practically showing his 'package' to the crowd in the front. The band clearly wants to get the most out of the people watching them and were constantly asking for more. Perfect show!

And when headliner Hatesphere started, the venue luckily attracted some more people. But still there were hardly any people present. This is very strange since the band attracted way more people during previous events the past few years. Since the venue has got curtains on stage the band had to laugh when they opened. But even with the new line up this band still knows how to put up an awesome and thrashing show. Finally the crowd reacted and started headbanging. Various songs from their latest release To The Nines were played including 'To The Nines' and 'Backstabber' as well as some older songs like 'Deathtrip', 'Coming of Chaos' and 'Drinking With The King Of The Dead'. And even though the venue was almost empty the band enjoyed their show. Let's hope the next time they come around they can attract some more people and play some more classics.
