Seminal British spacerock evangelists Hawkwind, will headline this
year's Roadburn Festival. Hawkwind will be playing a one-off show on the
spacerock stage. As if this wasn't enough sonic overload, the spacerock stage will
also host the lysergic, transcendental, uber-jams of Ozric Tentacles,
the classic spacerock of Spacehead, and the delirious guitar freak-outs of
guitar psychonauts Bevis Frond, guaranteed to free both your ass and
bedeviled mind! Plus, Trancient Dreams after party -Martin Hall-Davis
dj-ing dub / dance / fusion.
Meanwhile, over at the festival's Green Room the boisterous and electrifying
biker-rock behemoths, Orange Goblin will headline, doing a 10th anniversary
show in Europe. Also on the bill are the legendary Leaf Hound fronted by
Peter French of Catcus & Atomic Rooster-fame, the cooler-than-thou,
soulful, desert grooves of Brant Bjork & The Bros, the heavy stoner / doom
riffage of Solace [playing their first ever European show] and Capricorns'
doomed-out instru-metal. Plus, make sure you check out the Heavy 70's After Party
with London's amped up garage-psych-prog monsters Gorilla.
On the Orange Factory stage: Colour Haze' stonerrock-influenced
guitar-jams, the psychedelic swirls of The Heads, Ufomammut 's monstrous prog-doom
soundscapes, Orange Sunshine's tribute to Randy Holden & the Swans and
Abrama Bramis take on the heavy 70's.
For the first time ever in the history of the Roadburn Festival there
will be a Pre-party on Friday, April 21. On the bill are Spaceship Landing,
Toner Low, End Of Level Boss & Astrosoniq.
The upcoming 11th annual Roadburn Festival will bring together space- &
riff-rock legends, fans, and music journalists from all over the world,
all thirsting for hard rockin' action in a genuinely psychedelic,
mind-blowing venue. Hawkwind, Leaf Hound, Solace, Bevis Frond, Orange Goblin,
Spacehead, Colour Haze, The Heads, Capricorns, Trancient Dreams & Gorilla will all
be doing one-off shows on the European mainland that weekend.
