Fields of Rock: a new festival has been announced!!!
It's official: 2007 will bring us a new Fields of Rock festival. Other than last time it's going to be a 2 day festival. The old location (Goffertpark, Nijmegen) has been replaced by festival terrain Biddinghuizen (near Walibi World, also the location for the Lowlands festival). The festival will be held on Saturday June 16th and Sunday June 17th. Pre-sale details will be announced soon so keep an eye open for another great festival!

Yeah!!! Who will headline this masterpiece of a festival???
Metallica? AC/DC? Dream Theater? Sepultura (in the original formation)?
I think that Machine Head will take part in it again, anyway. And that's what counts for me !! And 3 Inches Of Blood, I guess ...
I've read that they will announce names somewhere around january.

finally! a new multiple day 100% rock festival in the netherlands. It was about time.
Let's start the rumour mill!
FoR is traditionally the festival for the big stadium acts. Who's on the candidate list here.
Iron Maiden? Pearl Jam? Tool? Nine Inch Nails?

it's a great step for heavy music in Holland and the organisation showed their guts for not naming it Dynamo.
I'll expect Tool for sure, since they announced to be back this summer whereas Iron Maiden will use their Powerslave stage in 2008 so I won't expect them.
Maybe Metallica indeed and what the hell happened to AC/DC since their producer told them to come up with some better songs than they eventually did?

I bet money on it that Slayer will be there. I like it that it's two days now, let's hope it gets bigger and bigger. I hope for the Dillinger Escape Plan and Mastodon again, but there's so many things I want to see. Korn might be an option too I think.

I'd like to see more black metal this time. Darkthrone, Satyricon, Enslaved, Immortal, Mayhem, Taake, Nargaroth, Naglfar, Old Man's Child etc.
Sodom would do it as well, Or Testament.
Ow, allmost forgot : Type O Negative.

the only black metal you'll see there will be either Dimmu Borgir or Cradle Of Filth, the rest probably doesn't sell enough to be on such a festival.
