Former Superjoint Ritual, Artimus Pyledriver members join forces in Red River Revival

Red River Revival, the new band featuring former members of Superjoint Ritual and Artimus Pyledriver, has posted five songs on its MySpace page. The tracks will appear on the group's new EP, to be made available through Real Deal Merchandise (owned by Mark Morton of Lamb Of God).

Red River Revival is:

Kevin Bond (Superjoint Ritual) - Guitar
D Wayne Slocum (Artimus Pyledriver) - Vocals
Rev. James Atwell (Moses Jones) - Guitar/Vocals
Dave Eidson (Gates Of Berlin) - Drums
Avery G (The Ranch Hands) - Bass

In a recent interview with Nonelouder, Slocum stated about the band's sound, "Red River Revival is boogie rock! Lots of melody and soul, preachin' and hollerin'. Heavy blues is what I think best describes us. Kevin Bond has written some really cool stuff, very Zz Top. Kevin didn't write any of the Superjoint stuff, so I think people will be surprised to hear what style he actually represents. James Atwell is a fantastic singer/slide player. He and I have been working very hard to make the best music possible. People are already saying that Red River Revival is better than Artimus."

Red River Revival's first live performance will take place on September 20 in Marietta, Georgia.
