Devildriver, Emmure, Despised Icon confirmed for 'Thrash And Burn Tour'
Santa Barbara, California's Devildriver will headline the second annual Thrash And Burn Tour, which is set to run from July 24 through August 30, 2009. Support on the trek will come from Emmure, Despised Icon, My Children My Bride, Veil Of Maya, For The Fallen Dreams, Oceano, Periphery and Red River Revival. Several stops on the tour will see the addition of a special guest band, for a total of 10 national acts each night.The Thrash And Burn Tour will showcase a diverse mix of underground metal bands who draw from decades of thrash, punk, and hardcore to mold their 21st century sounds.
Thrash And Burn Tour organizer Mike Mowery comments: "Once again, we aim to provide an inexpensive day of metal, thrash, and hardcore. We've chosen bands that compliment each other very well, and we've diversified the lineup so there's something for headbangers, shredders, moshers, and scenesters. Last year proved that a club tour of relevant, underground metal acts is something the fans want. Almost all of the bands on the tour have new releases coming out this summer, and that will provide their fans an opportunity to see their new songs performed live for the first time."
