Steel Assassin: new album artwork unveiled
The cover artwork for "In Hellfire Forged", the new album from Massachusetts metallers Steel Assassin, can be viewed below. The CD will be made available directly from the band in "a couple of weeks."
Commented the group: "As some of you know, this album represents a celebration of the 25th anniversary of some of our vintage material that was previously available on our 'From The Vaults' release in '97. We've revisited these songs and they have evolved with the injection of John Falzone's take on the vocals. Let us just say, it's lethally ferocious!!"
Steel Assassin recently begun production on a new video for the song "Burn Witch Burn", which is one of the tracks on "In Hellfire Forged". The clip is being directed by Rich Spillberg, who also produced and recorded the new CD.
"Steel Assassin has always had an incredible intensity in their live performance, because they are such an amazingly tight band," Spillberg said in a statement. "My goal is to capture that energy, and after last night's shoot, I can say we are on our way to doing just that."
Spillberg, the guitarist for Boston metal legends Wargasm, recently finished producing the new Meliah Rage album, "Masquerade", and also helmed Steel Assassin's debut album, "War Of The Eight Saints", in 2006.
