Threat Signal: 'severed' video posted online
"Severed", the new video from Canadian modern metallers Threat Signal, can be viewed below. Edited by vocalist Jon Howard, the clip features live and behind-the-scenes footage from the band's summer 2009 tour with Sybreed, The Agonist and The Autumn Offering. "Severed" comes off Threat Signal's sophomore album, "Vigilance", which sold around 1,100 copies in the United States in its first week of release, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The CD landed at position No. 32 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.
Released on September 8 in North America and September 11 in Europe via Nuclear Blast Records, the CD was produced by vocalist Jon Howard and mixed by Greg Reely (Fear Factory, Front Line Assembly).
Threat Signal has replaced Daath as direct support on Epica's upcoming North American tour.
Commented Threat Signal in a statement: "This will be Threat Signal's first tour supporting our new album, 'Vigilance'. We are excited to be tearing apart North America with Epica and also promoting our new record on the road. We will be performing songs from both albums, 'Under Reprisal' and 'Vigilance'. Threat Signal members Jon Howard and Pat Kavanagh (bass) are also involved with Arkaea, the band featuring Fear Factory members Raymond Herrera (drums) and Christian Olde Wolbers (guitar).
