Godsmack: the making of 'Saints & Sinners'
Godsmack is putting the finishing touches on its new album, "Saints & Sinners"., for a tentative spring release. The CD is being produced by Dave Fortman, who has previously worked with Evanescence, Slipknot and Mudvayne, among others.

Rockpit has created a series of 15 webisodes for Godsmack fans describing the process, rituals and methodology of making an album. A new webisode will be released every Friday, and each will run about seven minutes, filled with exclusive content, behind-the-scenes footage, interviews and sneak peeks at theband's newest songs.

The first episode is available now on Rockpit. Watch it today to see the band talk about working with Fortman, touring on Crüe Fest and why they were away for so long.

Tune in later today (Friday, January 22) for the second episode and be the first to witness the songwriting process, hear clips of the newest songs and find out what the deal is with all those cookies.

The next Godsmack album will be the band's first collection of all-new material since 2006's "Iv".

After Godsmack released "Good Times, Bad Times - Ten Years of Godsmack", the band announced that it was going on hiatus. Singer Sully Erna worked on his solo album during this period, while the other three members of the group started a side project called Another Animal.
