And fortunately it didn’t turn out to be a bad choice. Not that this music is innovative nor is it the next best thing in the scene. But this band knows how to bring metalcore in a more heavier way some others do. I gotta add to that this stuff isn’t just metalcore, I’d prefer to call this death-metalcore. The vocals as well as the musical approach are more heading towards death metal combined with metalcore than the other way around.

 

The song structures don’t impress me a lot but I think that’s one of the main powers this band has. Simple, straight forward music that’ll be a pleasure for death-metal(core) fans. Still, I think the songs on this album lack a bit of originality. They all tend to sound a little bit the same after you’ve heard like half of the album. Therefore it wouldn’t be bad to put some more surprising elements within the music if it was up to me.

 

All in all I think this album sure is a nice addition to my CD-collection. Not that I’ll listen to this very often, therefore it’s a bit too unoriginal, but I’m certainly not ashamed of having this disc in it. I definitely think this Belgian dudes are able to get their name more known within the world of metal.
