Hatred - Blasphemous Deliverance
Hatred plays an average dose of death metal that can genre-wise be described as a mix between deathrash and more malicious brutal death metal, or band-wise as a combination between the Dutch acts Legion Of The Damned and God Dethroned, but then a little less in quality. It’s not that it works out badly because the production is fine, but the music is just too common, plus the songs won’t stick in your head.
What I do like about this record are the aforementioned vicious parts that bring a lot more tension to the game. For example the blastbeats halfway ‘Christian Dogma’ as well as several other accelerations are doing well for me. Less charming are some transitions who don’t always sound that accurate. It might be caused by a possible low recording budget. I really think that there’s a lot potential in this band, but that it doesn’t come out yet.
Blasphemous Deliverance therefore remains too average for me, but I’m truly curious about what the future will bring for this band. I hope I got the chance to see them live once so I can judge them on their live compatibilities too.
