Taproot - Pulse Ultra
Wednesday 29th of January, Taproot in the Netherlands together with Pulse Ultra as support. A guarantee for a great show with great bands. When we arrived at the Melkweg in Amsterdam there was a long row before the entrance and the doors opened immediately. When we bought our membership (a &euro 2,50 membership is required in the Melkweg) and entered the Oude Zaal. The smallest of two rooms in the Melkweg there was a great atmosphere and great music. We ran up to our friends from www.pitfather.com. After we waited for half an our Pulse Ultra Started with their show. We were curious about their performance. It sure was great and they have a gifted and weird guitar player.
They played for three quarters of an hour and played songs from their latest album Head Space and next to that some older songs from previous album. A few mistakes were made during the show and there were roadies constantly on stage to help with that problems. The adapter from the guitar player was loose twice during the show. The drums werent working properly and much more of that.
After Pulse Ultra the're was my reason for the night, Taproot. They gave an awesome kickass show with many variation of songs an manners of presentation.
And after a short time of playing singer Stephen disappeared in the audience and ended up on the balcony. After a short while singing their he climbed upon the edge and jumped into the audience. (picture of that later) Taproot played songs like Mine, Dreams, Poem and Sumtimes from the new album Welcome and some great songs from the album Gift like Again & Again, Smile and I. What was extraordinary was that lead singer Stephen Richards didnt use earplugs or a Monitor but sings very clear and good. Only great singers can do things like that.
A special gift to the Dutch audience that was the greatest audience so far according to Stephen they played Breathe for the first time live. Also that song was sounding great and they didnt make any mistakes. After a few songs Stephen again disappeared in the audience but it was planned because a roadie with flashlight already was standing on stage to give him a light. This time Stephen joined the moshpit and jammed thorough the entire audience.

This night was a great night because the sound was great and everything was perfect. I enjoyed the show of Taproot but I think everybody did.
