Day 4 – Saturday August 13th
On day four the weather still was pretty good for us. The strange thing we realised again was that on a normal (3-day) festival you were heading home but we still had 4 days left. Besides that there were some headliners playing today. Korn was headlining the main stage and Tankcsapda was playing before Korn.

In the afternoon there weren’t many bands we wanted to see, which is kind of strange with more than 100 acts every day, so we walked around the terrain. Just hanging around and recovering of the heavy night before. Besides that we once again complied to our internet addiction in the press area.

We watched the Hungarian act Tankcsapda from the press area because we were curious what this band sounded like. The press area is besides the main stage and there were monitors hanging everywhere so we could see everything. The band plays a combination of rock and Rock’n’Roll music with Hungarian lyrics. The last thing is something we just can not understand and therefore not good. This just gives the music a strange vibe, kind of dull and hard to enjoy. It was good to see the entire Hungarian audience was enjoying this act and they were screaming louder than the band!

And then it was time for the starters of Nu-Metal; Korn entered the stage one by one without their guitarist Head. Before we drove to Sziget lead singer Jonathan Davis announced that a 2nd guitarist would be playing from side stage because the band wasn’t ready to play with another person on stage. Expectations were high, as usual at a Korn show, but the show proved otherwise. We think this was the worst show we have seen on this years Sziget Festival. The sound was terrible, you could not hear Jonathan and the bass was way too loud. Only near the PA tower the sound was reasonable but then you couldn’t see anything. Luckily for the people the set list was one big hit list with songs like Blind, Twist, Freak on a Leash, Right Now, Did My Time and Y’all want a single. Korn slowly is going under and there is nothing to save this band.
