Monday - Day 6
On monday another Dutch act played the main stage. Metalrage's first year they already played in a packed Hammerworld tent.

The Gathering
It’s always nice to see one of your favorite bands, and the amount of coolness when this band plays on the Sziget Mainstage is just huge. The Gathering played a fine show with a nice mix of older and new material, and of course the classic “Strange Machines”. The band was in good form although the sound left a little bit to desire; but with the nice weather and beachy-sand to lounge upon I wasn’t complaining.

Zagar
A Zagar show seems to be a yearly ritual at Sziget. These local guys from Budapest played their unique brand of mellow pop-fusion in a crowded Wan2 stage. Songs like “Astoria” got the feet of the floor but the guys didn’t shy away from playing a few new tunes as well.

The Orb
Unfortunately, these British guys were a bit of a letdown. Their experimental electronics based on drug trips didn’t really connect, so after 15 or so minutes it was time to get another beer.

Exploited
PUNK! That is all there is to say about this show. A lot of young musicians playing with a legend on stage. The Hammerworld tent was loaded with punkers and the set was punkish. For me this isn't interesting but it sure was funny to see all the punkers really enjoying the show.

Unfortunately we missed the Colorstar show, better luck next time!
