Thursday - Day 2
The second day our edition of Sziget really started. We had time to taste some of the food on the festival, drink some nice cold Arany beers and enjoy some fine music and art.

Ill Nino
The Main Stage started with Ill Nino. But wait, the band cancelled and due to this cancelation Dutch rock band Green Lizard, which also played the night before, were the replacements. And eventhough a lot of people in the Netherlands don’t believe in this band anymore, they totally rocked the stage and audience. I have never seen these guys playing a show this good before. It was real pleasure seeing a Dutch act perform this good. And we knew there was another Dutch band playing the same stage on a later time that week!

Wir Sind Helden
The Germans from Wir Sind Helden had a great show in the WAN2 tent, we walked over there to take a look but after seeing a small tent PACKED with Germans we decided this wasn’t our cup of tea for this evening! Time for the next act of the day!

Subscribe
Luckily enough a couple of our Hungarian friends were playing at the Hammerworld stage. First off was Subscribe. These guys are really young but manage to play an awesome show filled with nu-metal and great riffs. These guys wrote some great songs and I enjoyed watching them on stage. I heard something about them releasing new material in 2007 and I am really looking forward to this release. If you are up to some experimental nu-metal and a big laugh? Try this band!

Blind Myself
Followin Subscribe was the math metal band Blind Myself. The band got some aggressive, Dillinger Escape Plan influence, music combined with a great stage performance where all band members were dressed in white. Technically there is nothing wrong with this band and the audience present in the tent were clearly enjoying every minute of the show. A pretty big mosh pit and a lot of interaction. For me one of the better Hungarian acts with potential for the rest of Europe and maybe even the rest of the world!

Death By Stereo
After Blind Myself we had a quick bite near the Hammerworld stage and waited for Death By Stereo. The tent was packed, and every single living creature in the tent was shouting along with a very old front man. It was great to see but not my style of music. Shot some pictures and left for a beer!

Sick of it All
Again we stayed around the Hammerworld, this time for Sick of it All. Always great to see live and the band showed me they can do the same trick in Hungary as well. And it is really great to see this band can get thousands of people moving, jumping and fighting in the biggest mosh pit of the festival. All hits were played, statements were made and the band clearly enjoyed every single minute of their set.

Superbutt
Superbutt was playing directly after Sick of it All and can be best described as the Hungarian version of System of a Down. The band is quite a big name in the country and are professionals when in comes to playing a live show. The band played songs coming from all three albums. And the reaction of the crowd was energetic which resulted in a great party in the Hammerworld tent.

Insane
Insane is another Hungarian band which played directly after Superbutt. This band played a couple of shows in the Netherlands, released a good album and consists out of youn guys. On stage their show is powerfull and attractive. They still need to grow but the potential is there.
