I haven’t had the pleasure to know Onno in person. I am a longtime reader of Aardschok and for me Onno was the guy that brought me some well needed knowledge about Hardcore and Punk and introduced me to bands that I never had known the existence of. According to many accounts Onno was a widely respected man in the Dutch and European hardcore and punk scene. He was the initiator of the European Hardcore Party’s in Maastricht (recently restarted in Hamme) and also founder of Strength Records amongst other things.

 

We at Metalrage would like to send our condolescences to his wife and children and his colleagues at Aardschok.
