German guitar wizard Axel Rudi Pell has parted ways with drummer Mike Terrana (pictured below; Tarja, Rage).

Says Axel: "Due to scheduling conflicts with his other commitments, I had to make this decision, unfortunately. He wouldn't be available for our shows in 2014 and that wouldn't make sense to carry on with him.

"I would like to thank Mike for the past 14 and a half years, where we successfully worked together and wish him all the best for his future career!

"The new studio album will be released in January 2014 followed by an extensive European tour. Stay tuned for more info!"

Axel Rudi Pell's latest studio album, titled "Circle Of The Oath", was released in March 2012 via Spv/Steamhammer.

In addition to Terrana, Axel Rudi Pell's most reecent lineup included singer Johnny Gioeli, keyboard player Ferdy Doernberg and bass player Volker Krawczak.
