Primal Fear issues new album updateGerman metallers Primal Fear last month entered the studio to begin laying down drums for their as-yet-untitled next studio album for an early 2014 release via Frontiers Records.
In a brand new posting on the Primal Fear Facebook page, the band writes: "It's the final day at the House Of Music Studios in Germany; drums, guitars, bass and all specials delivered. We've recorded 12 tracks including two epic songs, one guitar ballad, and nine crushing metal songs with all the trademarks you know and love to hear from Primal Fear.
"The album is produced by [producer/bassist] Mat Sinner, engineered by Achim Köhler [Edguy, Masterplan]. Mixing duties will be handled in September by Jacob Hansen [Volbeat] at Hansen Studios in Denmark."
Frontiers and Primal Fear in January announced that they have renewed their partnership for another multi-album deal, which will include two more studio releases and one live Cd and Dvd.
Primal Fear's latest album, "Unbreakable", sold around 600 copies in the United States in its first week of release. The Cd landed at position No. 44 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.
