Mustpain - Mustpain
Greece is certainly not dead if it comes to metal. Negative Creeps a thrash metalcore band from those regions has two members in its ranks that like to turn things up a notch. The result lies before me here in the shape of a black/death metal band dubbed Mustpain.
And it kicks fucking ass I tell ya! This disc pounds, thrashes and mangles its way through my speakers and I quite enjoy it. It’s very extreme and fast with predominantly harsh black metal vocals. The music consists of a good mix between very fast death and black metal with the occasional thrash metal/metalcore breakdown in it, what makes it a pleasure to listen to for me. There even are some riffs that give a wink towards hardcore/metalcore, but it's all so out of context here that if you didn’t know this band’s background you probably couldn’t tell.

So a lot of double bass salvo’s and poeka’s, mid tempo to ultra fast, accompanied by shredding riffs. But the thing that makes it interesting is the fact that there’s just two guys in this band. Makes me wonder if they can deliver it just as convincing as the record sounds. They of course did double the guitars and record a bass, but I suspect that these are things that could leave a void when playing live.
Well there isn’t much more to tell you about this. If you’re into fast brutal music than this is definitely worth checking out. The name says it all for once. Mustpain!!!!
