Cage - Hell Destroyer
Since its birth, Cage has played on several big festival stages around Europe like Dynamo Open Air and Wacken Open Air. They’ve opened up shows for Iron Maiden, Dio, Judas Priest, Dokken etc. Now Cage brings us their fourth album, Hell Destroyer. An album that goes from the crucifixion to a demonic invasion of the earth to the resurrection of the Metal Devil himself. I guess you already know what to expect now.

That’s right! This is a heavy metal band. And since I’m not a (big) fan of the genre, my heart almost stopped beating when I read that this album would last for over 75 minutes. Say what?! Jep, 75 minutes of high vocals, guitar solos and low demonical chattering. And because of my lack of knowledge the only comparison I can make right now would be Dream Evil (of which I know the very cool song 'The Book Of Heavy Metal'.) Oh yeah, and Iron Maiden, I happen to know some notes of their music too. Makes a good match as well.

Anyways, Cage has filled an album with typical heavy metal songs, not only musically but also the lyrical content is the way it should be. And of course the cover fits the music perfectly as well. Fantasy creatures being in a battle with flames in the background. Although the background isn’t that great, the big creature in front of the picture sure is nice to see!

I know I should tell you more about the album but the thing is, I really can’t say much more useful things about this album. Although the genre heavy metal doesn’t add anything to my life, I gotta admit that Cage has done a great job on this album. They actually know to keep my heart beating.

I cannot imagine one single heavy metal fan to dislike this album. And I mean that! Musically the band is very convincing and I can imagine this band giving an awesome live performance. So heavy metal fans beware! Be sure to check out Cage. METAAAAAAL!
