Filii Nigrantium Infernalium - A Queda and A Era do Abutre
Filii Nigrantium Infernalium
One of the first late eighties portuguese black-metal
bands has returned, with a new masterpiece!
Perverse and sarcastical Belathauzer is back with
FILII NIGRANTIUM INFERNALIUM,
marked by technical improvement, along with
the unparalleled originality which has always
defined their diabolical sound.
Metal, Raw and Evil like it should be...
A sheer denial of the vast weakness of Light, shredded by the blackest
of laughters...
- So let there be NECRO!
Some time ago Pedro Cruz sent us an email if we would like to receive a promo pack from the band Filii Nigrantium Infernalium from Portugal. F.N.I. is one of the first black metal bands from Portugal. Seven years ago they quit. They are currently rehearsing their old songs, so they can make their return to stage. Pedro sent me the demo A Queda witch means the Fall in English and A Era do Abutre witch means Age of the Vulture. Lets start with A Queda.
A Queda.
There a two numbers on this Pic-7ep and its limited to 525 pieces. After a silent intro (seasounds?) Mora starts with a high scream and powerful guitars. The production is quite good. The vocals sound like the devil himself took place behind the microphone. It reminds me somewhere of Impaled Nazarene. Both tracks have a running time from more than 6 minutes. They know how to combine some impressive solos with their black metal.
Points for this ep 77 out 100
A Queda (The Fall) (2002) (Pic-7"ep Tenser Records) (525 limited hand numbered edition)
Traklist:
Mora (Mora)
Puta Infernal (Infernal Whore)
A Era do Abuture
This MCD came to earth on 1995. What disappoints me on this record is the quality. The new ep is much better. It stil contains some good numbers. Only the song Abadia do Fogo Negro isnt the kind of black metal I prefer. It doesnt have something special within. The songs doesnt have the same power than the other songs. Some good points for both releases that they arent boring, they have a good variety in their songs.
Points for this MCD 70 out 100
