Junior - Are We Famous Yet?
Having played with Bowling For Soup, American Hi-Fi, The All American Rejects etc. and being part of the 2002 and 2004 editions of Vans Warped Tour, Junior has certainly put its name out. They are something in the rock scene, and that has been a dream come true for these guys. Here they are with their new album, Are We Famous Yet?
The is answer is: No, they’re not! But it might be a matter of time before they will be. Junior brings not-too-complex rock music that reminds me a lot of bands such as Blink 182 and the likes. Simply yet catchy, enjoyable yet energetic. A good mix that’s accessible for the bigger crowds around the globe. It might hit your local radio station, yet Junior is not a band for softies.
I guess you all know this kind of music. It’s nice background music for in your local record store or a nice back-up to keep you awake during your homework. Is it extremely good and original? Well, not exactly. But that’s not the point of this music. The point is to entertain the people with catchy tunes that everybody should be able to sing along with. In that, Junior certainly succeeded.
Everybody who loves not-too-complex in the vain of above mentioned bands will find a new favourite in this album. Be sure to check it out. I highly doubt whether this band will ever be famous because of the great meaning of that word but one thing is for sure, you can’t deny that there’s definitely something catchy in this music, whether you’re a grindcore fan or a pop music fan. Junior is rock for the greater masses.
