With a full length on the way, Finnish rock �n� roll punks Testicals warm us up with their undeniably catchy five-song EP �And Nothing Less. First thing that came to mind was �and nothing more? Because this EP leaves me with an appetite for more Testicals�Ehh, well you know what I mean!

 

The EP opens up with a pretty standard punk tune followed by an entire band shouting: �Hey!� Not uncommon for a punk rock EP. Then come the vocals; strange at first, but not irritating. I couldn�t quite put my finger on it, but it wasn�t bad and after a while I actually really liked it! Niklas Saarela has designed and executed his own personal vocal style on this EP, without exaggerating it.

 

The second song, 'Memory Lane', is a pretty standard rock song, followed by 'Lady Freakshow'; a great�well�just another great rock song!! Then my personal favourite: 'Running With My Scissors'. Somehow, and I know NOBODY wants to see it; this song makes me want to dance. Yes, I said it; D-A-N-C-E, dance! Where I thought Heartbreak Engines made the devil a happy camper, Testicals make the devil dance around in a Tutu, and make jokes about it afterwards! The EP ends with the nice and simple nod-your-head 'Good Old Days', which is a good ender for the upcoming full length, maybe?
