The Twisted Minds - Neo Dogmas
French punk sounds are getting more and more frequent on the Metalrage doormats, and Twisted Minds is the next band in that line, with a nice combo of metal and core. Otherwise known as metalcore.
All in all, the metal influences tend to stand out most, and punk and hardcore stuff more or less floats through the material in passages. Having said that, one can imagine this is an album that doesn't stand out from the crowd. This combination has been heard tons of times by you, me and everyone.
On top of that, the songs tend to sound a bit chaotic, as they lack a good build-up.
Twisted Minds probably have a great CD in the making, but it isn't Neo Dogma (yet?). Originality and songwriting stand in the way of earning that title. For now it's just nicely played metal with punk rythms.
