Seventh Calling - Monuments
Another Power Metal CD hits the doormat. Needles to say, the genre lives as ever.
Expect the heavy metal thunder with fat riffs and high vocals versus angry vocals. Kind of like Judas Priest meets a bit of thrash with a bit of Dio. Well you get the point. Nice and all, but I'm sorry to say it bores me as Seventh Calling (being as profesionally and slick sounding as they are) does nothing new for me.
The group has a live reputation for sharing the stage with quite some metal greats (Overkill and Metal Church for instance), and I do not doubt the fact they have a loyal following of fans. If not, they will. Since there's always a market for these groups, and an audience for their music.
My own desinterest for the repetition aside, I'm sure this CD will find its way into many powermetal enthousiast's home.
