Eilera is a French girl that has just produced her very first full length album, through Spinefarm Records I might add. She operates in the regions of folk, pop, metal and gothic music, so let�s see what Fusion has to offer.

 

Eilera has a pretty good voice I have to say. The first time I listened to the album I was kind of annoyed because of my natural disgust towards folk and goth music, but Eilera�s voice really reminds me of Bj�rk. I�m not a great fan of her work either, but I have tremendous respect for what she does. The way Eilera uses her voice kind of resembles that of Bj�rk, and that�s a pretty big compliment. Although she has a long way to go to get on that level.

 

In my opinion Eilera would be wise to leave the metal part out of the music, because it seems kind of forced in it. Like someone is trying to make the next Evanescence or something. It just doesn�t sound natural for those parts to be on this disc. Some of the milder rock parts are nice though. And the folk and pop atmospheres that are produced on this album do please me pretty good, and in combination with the vocals I am reminded of a band called Rajna, also from France, which I reviewed a long time ago.

 

So if you�re into the stuff I described here above, you might consider checking this out. Her potential is pretty big when you think of the market she might reach. I�m curious about where this will be within five years. Although she might also need to consider taking on a producer next time instead of doing that herself.
