The Blaze Game is a disc filled with music that is beneath obscurity. These guys are not about writing catchy songs (or tunes for that matter), being technical, fast, or whatever it is that people like. This is music for aliens, and animals perhaps. This disc is all about atmosphere. The feelings of anxiety and relaxation colliding with each other head on.

 

This is caused due to the rhythm sections uncomfortable and busy drumming. This is done over a very relaxed spacey atmosphere created by guitars and electronics, so you get these two feelings at once which is kind of weird. On top of that there are very eccentric vocals that would do well on the next Mike Patton solo record. Nothing you have ever heard before, this Sunburned Circle. Free-noise is perhaps the best description for it.

 

This isn't for people who only like songs. This is for people who look beyond the concept of music and its 'rules', and consider basically every sound in any form to be useable for music. Truly a record for the open minded, one to play on a dark December night, with the first snowflakes coming down (if there ever will be any again here in Holland...).
