Enthroned - Tetra Karcist
Many bands seem to grow up, and so does Entroned. A band that mainly based their lyrics on Satanism, Hell and burning babies. But after they found a new vocalist in Nornagest the band found their path to become adults.
Musically I dont hear real big changes. The only thing that sounds a little different are the vocals, which is quite obvious. Is Nornagest a better vocalist than the previous one? Well I don't know, I like them both, but that's not a problem, the old records won't rot and still function. So I can pick who I want to hear.
The keyword for this album would be: blastbeats. Not very original, I know. But the album just has quite a lot of blast-passages. Not a bad thing if you ask me, because they found a good balance, there is no overkill.
I can't complain about the production either, they did a great job. It's sounds clear, but also very dark and the instruments are well-balanced.
Fans will be pleased by Tetra Karcist, which is a great continuation of their last work, but in my opinion a bit better because of the fact Nornagest had some fresh ideas about the lyrics which are more about occultism in a less juvenile way.
