Mons Lunae resides from the deep mystical places of Portugal and was formed in the year 1998. This brings them upon their tenth anniversary this year. Of course a lot has happened in all those years, several line up changes and of course the release of three demos. The latest demo called Seven Winds has just been released by the band and it has been send worldwide to gain attention of the record labels.
Seven Winds consist of eight songs in the so-called gothic metal genre with a bit of folk influences. The biography speaks of the evaluation of their music from doom-, death metal to gothic-, folk metal. In my opinion there are still several death influences noticeable on the demo which gives the songs most of the time a great kick in the ass. Especially the male vocals on several tracks give those songs just that little bit more.
