Stormwarrior - Heading Northe
Heading Northe is Stormwarrior’s third full length release. This German based power metal band delivers a good album with Heading Northe. The band combines metal with the concept of Nordic mythology. The final mastering for this album was done by Tommy Hansen (Helloween, Hammerfall), so all of the ingredients are there.  
 
It’s a rare thing, Vikings from Germany. Stormwarrior teaches us that history was wrong. Although the Viking theme is toned down a notch on this album, it’s still present. In contrast to the band’s two earlier releases, they’ve slowed down the pace of the album. Which is a good thing, this results in more variety of songs on the album.
 
Now lets talk about the songs. ‘The Holy Cross’ is like an anthem. It starts of with a great intro, soon followed by some shredding guitars. ‘Lion Of The Northe’ is a personal favourite, can’t really explain it though. It just sounds great. Another song that pleased (almost pleasured) me is ‘Metal Legacy’. This song contains some great guitar work, and it is so up-tempo, I couldn’t keep up with my head banging.  
 
If you’re a fan of speed/power metal or if you’ve been a Viking in a past life, you should certainly buy this album. I guarantee, you’ll love this album.
