The Plight - Black Summer
The Plight is an English based melodic rock band from Leeds. As I was listening to their MySpace site, I was shocked to find out that nobody had subscribed to this album yet. So hurrah for me!

With Black Summer they deliver a good mini CD. Controlled chaos is the first thing that comes to mind as I am listening to the album. Some nice English rock ‘n roll with definitely some punk influences. These guys rush through the album in about fifteen minutes, leaving you disorientated and blown away.

The songs that immediately got my attention are ‘Ball & Chain’ and ‘Pull The Trigger’. You feel like you know the words and just want to scream along.

It’s a pity that there are only six songs on the album. Ah well, let the full length album be even better. Anyway, two thumbs up!!
