Trip Fontaine - Dinosaurs In Rocketships
Hailing from the far east (try going to Germany by bike from where I live), Trip Fontaine tries to find a new sound in rock music. They describe themselves as accoustic punk. Alright, if you want that label, own it! The thing is...you can't really label them.

What to think, what to think...What to think of these Germans? I don't really know actually!! We'll talk only music later, for now let's do a little pros and cons:

Pros:
- They come from a town called Dudenhofen (dude, how fucking amazing is that!)
- The album is called "Dinosaurs In Rocketships" (how cool is that!)
- They have a song called Vicemagazinegestalt (that's a cool-ass name)

Cons:
- They're named after a character from 'The Virgin Suicides'
- They actually admid that they're inspired by dance music
- Need I really say more???

Ok they lost that battle. Now the music. I said before that you can't label these guys and it's not because they've invented a new style. No, no...They just steal from almost every other style out there, without being arrested! There is a lot you can find in this record and that makes it a bit chaotic. There is however a lot of future potential here and the last song on the album is actually really good. Keep an eye out for these Germans, because they just might become a good band. To do that, they do need to find their own style and work on that.

Then there's another thing; we are MetalRAGE. Does this rage? Let's measure it on the Metalscale:
Kerry King
    Zakk Wylde
          Mark Tremonti
              Trip Fontaine
                    Auxxitt
-
-                 K3
-             Steve Cone

There you go!
