Sweet Assembler - Post Atomic Children
Part two of the double split LP released by Space Jam Records; the record of Sweet Assembler. Time to tone down a little bit, sit down in a comfy chair with an alcoholic beverage of your own choice, and doze off with the Post Atomic Children.
Obviously Sweet Assembler doesn’t rock like Flying Fortress, they aim more at a psychedelic relaxing pop-rock sound in the vein of the Belgium band Ghinzu, and even a little bit the Damnation album by Opeth. The word sweet really fits in their band name, this is perfect music to get into female Pinkpop-visitors’ panties I’d say. So sensitive and emotional, yet very nicely arranged and very well layered. Enough to convince your friends you’re a romantic person.
These six delicate songs require even more listening than Flying Fortress to fully comprehend the feeling of the music, but when you do it’s worth the effort. I think I will be playing this while I’m enjoying a nice sunset or something else as romantic as that. People into delicate and sweet pop-rock should give this a try, the psychedelic elements work really well and give a refreshing sound.
