Suction - An Image of Fragility
Modern New-School Hardcore. On one hand powerful, moshing and aggressive, on the other hand always underlined with well arranged melodies. The vocals vary form aggressive, rhythmical screamed vocals to spoken word passages. True Hardcore far away from the stereotype.
That is what Suction has to say about them selves, all spoken words are true this album is really powerful, moshing and aggressive. This album is indeed based on Hardcore but you cant call it just Hardcore, this album has a lot of varieties of influences, I heard some nu-metal, hardcore and so on. You cant describe this album in one word. The guitar parts are sometimes melodic, but basically fast and hard.
For the vocals; WOW, screams of agony!! Then again, the spoken parts, they sometimes remind me of Zack de la Rocha from RATM.
Carousel of Feelings, if you like Star Wars you like this song too, because it starts with the Imperial March from Star Wars, really cool!
My opinion of the album is great; this is really my kind of music, al the different musical influences are so cool.
Great album, if you like hardcore and a lot of different stuff then this is the band you have to check out.
