Malevolent Creation - The Will To Kill
Malevolent Creation is a band which had many problems with their line up. Their former vocalist Brett Hofmann was kicked out (for the second time) and now replaced by Kyle Simons. Although this is their 8th studio album, Malevolent Creation isnt a well known band. This is because their albums arent easily to get, but with The Will To Kill they have finally found a distributor and now we see their album in almost every well known heavy metal music store, which is only good for Malevolent Creation.

Anyways, the album opens very blastfully with the title track: The Will To Kill. Im full of joy about the new vocalist they have Kyle Simons, damn what a throat this man has!!! The riffs are very powerful and Malevolent Creation have certainly improved since Envenomed II I rarely like to judge an album based on one song, but if the rest sounds the same, I must give this album a high mark. Blastbeats literally fly through the speakers, and with full bass on this sounds like someone is drilling in the floor. Next song Pillage And Burn starts with fast drums and guitars, again the chopping sound! Further along I come across more technical things in the music. With Murderous Precision is a Death Metal song in all its forms, it has the great low grunting vocals including the heavy drum/guitar work. A chorus that truly is to bang your head with. Of course, all the songs are about killing and mutilating bodies and the usual Death Metal crap. There is significantly better song writing in this album, as the past album was written by their old vocalist, which sang about bullshit. Superior Firepower handles about the killing on the battlefield in war and the firepower used, somehow like the Bolt Thrower lyrics. Divide And Conquer is a slow song with pounding blast beats, the drums are very uptempo, but the guitars stay slow, great song indeed.

Well, Malevolent Creation certainly is a band to reckon with, because their ability to crush, munch and destroy concert halls with their destructive Death Metal. If you like bands like Six Feet Under ( but then 3 times faster), Immolation, Cannibal Corpse and Severe Torture, this band certainly is worth to listen at.
